Energy efficiency and renewable energy
Energy efficiency and renewable energy are two sides of the same bill. We measure where your electricity goes and what it costs you to lose it, and we engineer the solar PV that replaces part of it — from feasibility and design to finding out why an operating plant produces less than it should. Vibhawa is an Energy Services Company (ESCO) registered with the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority.

Energy audits
Industrial and commercial energy audits, loss studies on 33 kV, 11 kV and 6 kV systems, EMS energy balance, energy meter field verification, compressed air audits and power quality analysis.

Solar PV consultancy
Feasibility, rooftop and power plant design, drone mapping and drone thermography, testing and commissioning, and performance assessment — including a 10 MW ground-mounted plant at Hambantota.
Solar PV consultancy →Who this is for
Factories, hotels, commercial buildings and utilities that want to lower what they pay for electricity, either by wasting less of it or by generating part of it themselves. Most clients come to us with one of three questions: where is our energy going, why is our bill higher than it should be, or does solar make sense for this site?
Start with the audit, then size the solar
We usually recommend measuring before building. An energy audit shows where electricity is used and lost: in transformers and cables, in compressed air and cooling, and in meters that read wrong. Fixing those losses first means a smaller solar plant does the same job, and its payback is calculated on the load you will actually have.
Where solar is already in place, the same logic runs the other way. We check whether the plant produces what it was designed to, and find out why if it doesn't.
Why an electrical consultancy, not a supplier
We don't sell panels, inverters or equipment. Our recommendations are based on measurements, and the engineers who take them also sign the report.
What we do
Office building, Colombo 5
A detailed energy audit of a 14-storey office building. Our measurements showed air conditioning used over 60% of the building's electricity, with the chiller plant running at about 28% of its 460 TR capacity. The two-phase plan we proposed, recommissioning with primary variable pumping and then a right-sized VSD chiller, saves an estimated 342,000 kWh a year: about a third of the building's consumption. Phase 1 pays back in 1.4 years.
Energy efficiency and renewable energy: not sure which you need?
Send us a year of electricity bills, or a year of generation data from your solar plant. We will tell you what we would look at first.
